D0007 Layered Puddle Steel Blue Dish
Steel blue glass layered with french vanilla powder is fused as a block then broken. The pieces are turned upright and fused again into organic layered puddles. The puddles are placed within a layer of steel blue glass surrounded with clear glass dots. When fused onto a blue back, the glass under the clear dots stays blue while the exposed blue glass shifts to silver gray. This is an unique property of Bullseye steel blue glass. The dish was slumped into a mold, requiring four firings in the kiln.
Perfect as a soap dish, jewelry/ring holder, or a candle plate, this fused glass dish measures approx. 5-1/2” square.
It is not food safe and should not be used in an oven or microwave. Hand washing is recommended.
